As a classical musician, I’m keen on writing about the fine arts and how theatre, visual art, symphonies, opera, literature, film and dance inform our culture today. (Not to mention how exhilarating live performances can be.) I especially relish sharing backstage glimpses of artists’ lives and giving readers a peek into the daily routines of those whose livelihoods require tapping into their creativity.
I drew on first-hand knowledge of performing on stage with violin virtuoso Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, one of my favorite soloists. I focused on her fiery performances and emotional highs and lows in this piece, which promoted her appearance with the Boulder Philharmonic. Read Article >
